Padel Index is an independent directory of padel courts, prices and booking apps in the UK. This page explains what personal data we handle when you use padelindex.co.uk and what your rights are.
Who is responsible
The data controller is the operator of Padel Index.

What we collect
When you email us. Your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message: a correction, a club submission or a question.
When you use “near me”. Your browser asks for permission to share your location. The coordinates are used inside your browser to sort venues by distance. They are not sent to us and are not stored.
When you report a price on a club page. The form sends what you type (the correction, an optional link and, if you give it, your email address) to our hosting provider, where it is stored for up to 12 months so we can check it against the club’s page. Your IP address is held for 10 minutes to limit repeat submissions.
When you browse the site. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. This includes IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We run no analytics script.
We have no user accounts, payments, newsletters or advertising.

Our legitimate interest is running an accurate, working public directory. Venue details in the index (courts, prices, booking platforms) are business information taken from public sources.
Who processes data for us
- Proton AG (Switzerland): email. The UK recognises Switzerland as providing adequate protection.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): hosting, security and storage of price reports. Transfers rely on the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
We do not sell personal data or share it for marketing.
How long we keep it
- Emails and price reports: deleted 12 months after the last message or report.
- Technical data: held by Cloudflare under its own retention policy. We do not keep separate server logs.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
- restrict or object to how we use it

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
