Work out your padel level on the 1–7 rating scale booking apps use, from eight questions about experience, wall play, net play and competition. An indicative padel rating for picking the right open match.
What the number means
Booking apps rate players from about 0.5 (first session) to 7 (professional). Most UK club players sit between 2 and 4. The score here weights on-court skills (glass returns, net play, lob, rally construction) more than years played, and blends in your current app rating if you have one.
It is indicative. Apps move your rating from match results within a few games, so treat this as a starting bracket, not a badge.
Padel levels explained
The bands this calculator uses, on the 0–7 scale most UK booking apps share:

| 0–1.5 | Beginner | Learning the rules, the serve and the walls. Book beginner sessions or intro courses. |
| 1.5–2.5 | Improver | Can rally and keep score; walls are still unpredictable. Open matches labelled beginner/improver. |
| 2.5–3.5 | Intermediate | Uses the glass, plays at the net, has a bandeja. The most common band in UK clubs. |
| 3.5–4.5 | Upper intermediate | Constructs points, lobs with intent, plays box leagues and club tournaments. |
| 4.5–5.5 | Advanced | Reliable víbora and smash choices, competes regionally. |
| 5.5–7 | Expert / competitive | National-level play. |
Each app calculates its own rating from your results, so your number can differ between apps.
